Okidata introduced the B401 monochrome laser printer in April 2012 with an OEM-rated print speed of 29 pages per minute (ppm). The average monthly duty cycle is rated at 30,000 pages. The the MB451 multifunction (MFP) version also has an OEM -rated print speed of 29 ppm and the same 30,000 page monthly duty cycle rating. Print, copy, scan and fax functionality are standard features on the MFP.
The supplies set is made up of a toner cartridge and separate drum unit. Replacement cartridges have OEM-stated page yields of 1,500 pages (standard yield) and 2,500 pages (high yield). The drum unit is rated at a yield of 25,000 pages. Toner cartridges require a chip for correct printer operation.
